New website under development
There seems to be a lot of talk about the wild these days. In fact, it’s become quite fashionable—almost as if we’re inviting the unruly, unpolished parts of ourselves to slip on high heels and join us for lunch.
But the more we toss the word “wild” around, the more it starts to feel tamed—domesticated, romanticised. Is it losing its magnificence? Are we truly considering what we mean by wildness? And how can words, which flatten and frame, ever hope to capture its breathing taking and boundless essence?
Wild Therapy refuses to be pinned down. It is alive, evolving, sprouting new branches, roots, and ears with each year, each gathering, each shared experience. Every group dreams its own flavour of wild, just as every individual carries a unique current of untamed life.
What we can say—using our slightly domesticated words—is that Wild Therapy is an exploration of relationship, intimacy, spontaneity, and complexity. It is a practice of remembering: remembering that everything is kin, from the moss between our toes to the rain tracing its way down our skin. We are utterly entangled in the most exquisite, chaotic, and generous of worlds—and yet, so many of us have forgotten how to behold it. To walk in wonder. To feel, in our very bones, that the wind truly does long to play with our hair.
This wild ride is a journey inward and outward at once—directions that do not oppose but reflect and reveal each other. The deeper we listen, the more we notice. The more we pay attention, the more we are undone and rewoven by the very world we thought we were separate from. This path will challenge and free you in equal measure. It is paved with tears and howls—of delight, of sorrow. With mud and daisies. It is not for the faint-hearted.
And yes, you will definitely need wellies.
